Vermont Arts 2015 LogoThe Vermont Arts Council has secured Jennifer Williams (née Butson) to work with the Council’s outreach team to develop and manage public relations for the launch of Vermont Arts 2015, a year-long celebration highlighting the breadth of arts and arts events in Vermont in 2015. The campaign includes press visits and targeted press releases followed by integrated social media on Twitter and Instagram.

“With the Council’s 50th anniversary and the Legislature’s designation of 2015 as The Year of the Arts, the Vermont Arts Council clearly has a newsworthy cause to celebrate,” Kira Bacon, Vermont Arts Council communications manager said. “Positioning Vermont as a thriving arts hub and enthusiasts’ destination due to its breadth, quality, and inclusiveness will be key to this year’s marketing efforts. We aim to reveal the depth of personality and passion that Vermont arts communities hold. We want to spread the message that in Vermont the arts are everywhere.”

Williams will work with the Council to partner with statewide stakeholders; individual artists, arts organizations, chambers, businesses, galleries and state agencies for development of curated arts-focused media itineraries across four regions of Vermont: the West River Valley, the Mad River Valley, Manchester and the Shires Region and the Northeast Kingdom.
