Currently running for the Westport Town Council 2-year seat, I look forward to collaboration and conversation in the collective name of driving this community forward. The Democratic Primary is June 27th, and you’ll also see me on the independent line in November, under the Westport Works! slate with Joan Lilly and Michael Fergot. I want to hear from residents and learn about what our common vision is so that I may best help steward us in that shared direction. Connect at westportworksNY@gmail.com.
While new to Westport in 2022, I am not new to small-town living or working in and with local government. I bring energy, integrity, and expertise to the table.
I’m a first-generation college graduate with blue-collar and dairy roots in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. I’m also a Mom, public health grad student, business owner, and yoga teacher. I’ve spent the last 20 years in various marketing and communications positions, including the Governor-appointed role of Communications Director at the Vermont Agency of Commerce and Community Development, where I supported the Vermont Department of Tourism and Marketing, Economic Development and Historic Preservation offices while avidly collaborating with State Parks, the Arts Council and State and local chambers. I also have served as Public Affairs Director for Ski Vermont, and on the Governor’s Council for Sports and Physical Fitness for eight years. I launched my own communications consultancy in 2014 and have served the Lake Champlain Chamber, the Vermont Arts Council, various genomics and biotech businesses, rockstars (really!), wellness centers, and academic institutions, from PreK to Yale.
Fun Facts:
I once drove a barn-clapboard-wrapped diesel Ford F-450 with a 20-foot trailer cross-country six times in one summer. This was for Stonyfield Farm, though I’ve managed hundreds of sponsors, media, trade and large-scale consumer events as a national tour marketing manager for various brands and competitive sporting events, including Burt’s Bees, Seventh Generation, Jeep, Sony, Rossignol, and more.
I’m an avid gardener, doer, fixer-upper, and make-it-better-er.
